We've still got some great racing ahead for 2014 and some of the greatest scenery the area has to offer. Check out our events and we'll see you at the races!
Our Dirt Inspires Trail Runs at the Fort Ord National Monument are coming up on August 24 - featuring a half marathon or a 5 mile off-road run. Only 15 days a year are devoted to any organized event in Fort Ord so don't miss this opportunity to do a supported run in one of the USA's newest national monument areas. It's a real honor to have one of those days.
The third and Dip and Dash Aquathlon of the series is coming up on September 7. This swim around the wharf is great practice for the remaining three triathlons in Santa Cruz this season - Big Kahuna, SC Tri and our Surf City Long Course which all feature a swim around the wharf. There isn't a better way to practice on the course with full lifeguard support! The day consists of the Aquathlon (swim around the wharf and 5 mile run) or a Swim only event.
We've got some great things on tap for The Surf City Long Course Triathlon.
The UCSC TriSlugs will be hosting a Collegiate Perpetual Team Trophy and we've added prize money for the top 5 male and female finishers (Age Group and Elite combined!)
We also have a race within a race for any participant who thinks they are fast enough to beat a professional triathlete. Basically, you have to come out and prove it! Some of our local professional triathletes will be throwing down a challenge to any age group or collegiate athlete who can beat them! We'll have some great prizes for the age grouper who beats a pro to a podium spot.
What better way to wrap up the race season. Ahtletes will be treated to some of the best weather the fall season has to offer and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world for this event. Check out the course!
Thanks to our sponsors for supporting another great year of racing
