SuperKid Triathlon camp is a week-long camp designed to introduce kids to the sport of triathlon.
Participants will receive instruction on basic swimming, cycling and running skills in addition to bike safety and maintenance, transition training, good sportsmanship, race rules and eating right, and basic coordination skills.
We'll have lots of fun, outdoors, in a safe environment where kids of all levels and abilities can gain some new skills in this very popular sport. This is not a "boot camp" but a safe and fun environment for kids to play and learn. All ages and abilities are welcome, no prior triathlon experience is necessary.
The camp will end on Friday with a mini-triathlon and celebration complete with a special "finishers medal" for each athlete. Every participant will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, nutritious snacks each day, and lunch on Friday after their race.
Prerequisite: Ages 7 - 14. Each camper must be able to ride a bike, swim 25 yards, and run at least 1 lap on a track
Location and Times: Simpkins Family Swim Center unless otherwise noted in schedule.
