Cost for either the 10K or 5K is $25 and all proceeds benefit the Aromas School.
Rock & Run describes the unique experience that awaits you as you meander
through a 108 year-old, environmentally responsible, operational hard rock quarry.
This is a 10K Run or 5K Walk/Run as you have never imagined. See the working
quarry face, the ancient granite deposit, the massive equipment that processes it,
and the natural surroundings, as you take the challenge of the Rock & Run in the
A. R. Wilson Quarry in Aromas, California benefiting the Aromas School.
The event will start at 8 am on Sunday, September 14, 2008 from inside the Quarry at the end of Quarry Road in Aromas.
Join us for this exhilarating Rock & Run in the Quarry. The course varies each year for this event due to the fact that the rock piles are not always in the same place! The 10K will take you to the top of some of the largest hills in the quarry while the 5K will meander through the flatter parts of the quarry. This is a great family event and an opportunity to also participate in the Open House hosted at the quarry following the race.
